Arsenal has seen their season in turmoil, languishing at 14th, while midfield maestro Ozil rots on the bench, it seems things will change in January.
Ozil offered to Juventus in a six-month deal
According to Italian sources, it is claimed that Juventus has had talks with the German’s inner circle with a bid of having him and the gunners willing to cut him loose.
While nothing is sacrosanct, the midfielder may be tempted with a chance to play with Cristiano Ronaldo and former gunner Aaron Ramsey. This report also said that Arsenal will be willing to subsidize a part of Mesut alleged £350,000-a-week salary to make the move a reality.
This move to Turin would allow him to play at one of Europe’s best teams and alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, having formed a good partnership with him before at Real Madrid. Mesut has not kicked a ball since March and after being ostracized from Arsenal’s 25-man squads for the top flight and Europa League, in a move heavily condemned by most fans.
Arsenal look far worse without Ozil
Since his absence, the gunners only won a game in their last seven Premier League matches and are presently languishing in 14th on the table. But according to his agent, he is sure that his Ozil will see out the remaining six months of his contract with the gunners.
In a move, many considered a last-ditch attempt to save his job, arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has opened the door to this German, so he can re-register in January. Arsenal dressing room is reportedly split over the exclusion of Ozil, as many senior players want him reinstated, arguing that the team lacks creativity.
However, some officers at the board level are miffed with the idea because of Ozil’s outbursts against China’s treatment of some tribes, and they see him more like a divisive figure. This January will be a key moment for both Arsenal and Mesut Ozil.
